Welcome to my Whopper Stopper Hellbender lure site.  I am located in Maryville, TN, a beautiful little town in East TN situated at the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. I first started fishing with Hellbender lures when I was 17.  At that time, I was aware of only 4-5 different colors.  These were the only colors available in my local area tackle stores, which were simply small grocery stores that sold fishing supplies as a sideline.

One day I noticed a Hellbender lure listed on eBay.  I had NO idea there were so many colors and variations of this lure.  Anyway, I was 'hooked'.  I now have several hundred different Hellbender lures in 3 sizes. The development of this site wouldn't have been possible without the help of some of my collector friends who were willing to share their knowledge.

I like all things 'Whopper Stopper'.  My Hellbender collection centers around the 1000 and 1100 series, with the 1100's being my favorite size to both collect and fish with.  The 'ole Hellbender - it caught fish when I was a kid, and it's still catching them today!  Look around, and I hope you enjoy my website!
