Welcome to my site! My name is David Tiller, and I'm located in Maryville, TN. Maryville is a beautiful little town in East TN situated at the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
I first started fishing with Hellbender lures when I was 17. At that time, I only knew of about 4-5 different colors. These were the only colors available in the local area tackle stores, which were simply small grocery stores that sold fishing supplies as a sideline.
One day I noticed a Hellbender lure being sold on eBay. I had NO idea there were so many colors and variations of this lure. Anyway, I was 'hooked'. I have alway been a 'collector' (tools, stamps, etc.), so collecting a fishing lure that brings back great memories of my early fishing years, was a real natural. I now have well over 200 different Hellbender lures in 3 sizes. I have been very fortunate in meeting several friendly and helpful people through my hobby of collecting lures. It is always much more fun to collect something when you are in contact with others who share those same interests. Of course, the added benefit of being able to share knowledge is always a plus as well. My collection centers around the 1000 and 1100 series, with the 1100's being my favorite size to both collect and fish with. The 'ole Hellbender - it caught fish when I was a kid, and it's still catching them today!
